Boldly conceptualized, The Broadford is a two-story townhome that serves as the ideal setting for professionals. To heighten its appeal to males working in South Charlotte’s nearby medical and corporate hub, the Design Team elected to employ a masculine design using a neutral color story with pops of deep green and gold. Urban and undeniably chic from one room to the next, the combined use of leather, heavy wood pieces and contemporary artwork with a minimalist approach to décor adds an air of refined ruggedness.
The juxtaposition of cool gray and white against rich wood tones of the showplace kitchen is just one of many standout elements of The Broadford’s interior, as seen in the subway tile backsplash, espresso cabinets, quartz white countertops and wood tile floor. The combination of an inviting green accent wall, beadboard ceiling and spa-inspired bath in the Owner’s Retreat is another. The third floor Retreat is nothing shy of a metropolitan man cave. Its deep brown leather sectional and flat screen TV are prime for SEC football and action flick-watching.
The placement of main living spaces on the first floor – showcasing an open concept to add to the sense of spaciousness and inspire the desire to entertain – means that the second story is all about relaxation. The Owner’s Retreat encompasses the rear of the home, while the two secondary bedrooms flank the Retreat entertainment zone. The Design Team used one of the bedrooms as a FlexSpace, re-imagining it as a handsome home office.
